Whether I'm painting seascapes, designing jewelry, creating vintage collages or working on my latest series of small shadowbox collages, I'm inspired by my deep ties to family, history and the sea.
My grandmother taught me painting and art quilting at our Martha's Vineyard summer home. I spent many happy hours at the Atlantic seashore that inspired my seascape paintings. Later on, family outings to antique shops and house sales for beads, buttons and trinkets from the past fed my jewelry-making and vintage collage work.
Now the light-filled world of my home in Florida has led into a new series of smaller pieces, 3-D collages about exploration and the passage of time.
